Further conservation measures announced to conserve Scottish Salmon stocks

Today the Scottish Government’s environment Minister Eileen McLeod announced the Government’s intention to introduce a Public Consultation over their plans to ban the killing of wild salmon without a pre paid tag as a conservation measure to ensure stocks are managed sustainably. This consultation is planned for early 2015 and implementation of the plan ahead of the 2016 season.
