Just a reminder that there is a Farson Digital river camera on the Ayr. It is located at Tarholm in the lower river but gives anglers the ability to check the condition of the river before they set off for a days fishing. The Board and Trust arranged this camera for the benefit of anglers.

The Clerk has announced that the date of the next River Ayr DSFB meeting will be Tuesday 5th July at 7.0pm in Ayrshire Rivers Trust’s offices, 1 Gibbs Yard Auchincruive, Ayr KA6 5HW. This is a public meeting although the board may wish to discuss some issues privately.

Here’s the link to the Rural Affairs Committee meeting that took place this morning after an motion to annul the proposed legislation on mandatory conservation measures for wild salmon. It explains the government’s position and response to many areas of concern raised by committee members and MSP’s. The motion was proposed by Alex Fergusson MSP.
