Himalayan balsam on the Lugar and Ayr
Until the last few years, the River Ayr catchment was the only system in Ayrshire free from Himalayan balsam. In 2013 Ayrshire Rivers Trust found 5 plants and pulled them in Ayr opposite the college. River Camera
in FishingJust a reminder that there is a Farson Digital river camera on the Ayr. It is located at Tarholm in the lower river but gives anglers the ability to check the condition of the river before they set off for a days fishing. The Board and Trust arranged this camera for the benefit of anglers.

Date of Next Board Meeting
The Clerk has announced that the date of the next River Ayr DSFB meeting will be Tuesday 5th July at 7.0pm in Ayrshire Rivers Trust’s offices, 1 Gibbs Yard Auchincruive, Ayr KA6 5HW. This is a public meeting although the board may wish to discuss some issues privately.

Volunteers required to assist with bank stabilisation
in ConservationAyrshire Rivers Trust would like to stabilise some bank erosion at Nether Wellwood where the River Ayr walk and the banking are continuing to erode.
